WhatZoneAmI does not collect personal information beyond standard web analytics (page views, referrers, browser type) via Google Analytics. We do not require account creation, logins, or any form of registration to use the site.

ZIP Code Lookups

The zone finder lets you enter a ZIP code to look up your USDA Plant Hardiness Zone, county soil profile, and lawn recommendations. ZIP queries are matched against a static, pre-built dataset and are used only to return results for that request.

We do not use ZIP lookups to build advertising profiles, and we do not store the ZIP codes you enter alongside personally identifying information.
